How to create actionable steps to help you achieve your dreams and goals.

There is this really great commencement speech by Denzel Washington that these quotes are in. He says the first quote, “don’t confuse movement with progress.” Then something like because you can run in place and never get anywhere.

That hits me hard every time I hear it. Because it’s true. We can be doing all the things and going nowhere. That’s why it’s so important to set goals and dreams!

He also says “but remember to achieve these goals, you must apply discipline and consistency.” And goes on to say every day, not just on Tuesday and miss a few days.

It’s so important to have dreams and goals. But it’s also so important to create actionable steps to help you achieve these specific dreams and goals.

Do you want to run a marathon or lose some weight?
👋 Start where you are at and implement small subtle shifts that will help you get there, every day.

Do you want to start a business or scale one that you already have?
👋 Start where you are and implement small subtle shifts that will help you get there, every day.

Here is what I do 👇

I make a list of my most dreamiest dreams for the next 10 years, break it down into 5 years, then break it down into 1 year! I take my most prioritized dreams and goals and take them down to each tier.

For instance say in 10 years you want to be the healthiest version of you, having run marathons, competed in weightlifting competitions and lost 50lbs.

I would take say 1-2 of those for the next 5 years. Say run 2 marathons and lose 50 lbs.

Then I would break that down even further into 1-year goals. Say lose 50 lbs, start running and lifting regularly.

Then I would create actionable steps to get you there. Monthly then weekly then daily.

Each month I want to lose 5 pounds. Each week I will run/walk (wherever you are) 2 times and I will strength train twice. Then add onto it as the months go and get even more specific. For instance, make an actual running plan and lifting plan that enables you to reach your goals more specifically.

Does this make sense or am I just rambling!?

You can really apply this practice to anything, and I would love to help you craft it specifically to you. You can head here to book a Clarity Call where we will help you get through this exercise and get abundantly clear on actionable steps to achieve whatever it is you dream of!
